Managing an Employee Review

Reviewers manage Reviews

A Reviewer is a unique role created for each review round when an admin creates it. Both Reviewers and Admins can manage a review. This reviewer is typically the employee's manager or someone from the talent team who runs the company's TeamMaven account.


Managing a review entails selecting who provides feedback and then reviewing that feedback when deciding the final ratings and commentary.


To view the reviews you are the reviewer for, navigate to Reviews >> Manage on the sidebar. This will show you the reviews list. You can see the relevant employee's name and click the Manage button to continue.



As an Admin, you can see the reviews for given employees from the relevant reviews tab of the applicable review round. Click the Manage button to continue.



Review Overview

You will now go through a simple flow for this employee's review, starting with the overview step. This will just remind you of the process and what steps are required. When ready, click Continue.



Performance Elements

This represents what will be reviewed for a given employee and is determined by the settings chosen by your TeamMaven admin when the review round was created. They could be Custom Forms, Key Performance Areas, Goals or Competencies.


When you've reviewed them, click Save and Continue.



Feedback

Choosing who provides feedback for the employee is a critical part of the process. These Feedback Providers will rate and comment on the performance elements from the previous screen.


Depending on the admin's settings, a few of them may already be selected. As the reviewer, you can modify this list depending on who you deem most appropriate for providing performance feedback.



Once you're happy with the list, click the Start Review button. 



Once you start the review, an email will be sent to each feedback provider to log in and provide feedback. You'll notice that the feedback providers are shown as In Progress. They will be displayed as complete once they've provided and submitted their feedback. Only once they are all complete (or cancelled) will you be able to view the results.



Results

As the reviewer, you can now view all the feedback collected for each performance element. You can express judgement, potentially override scores, and leave comments for each performance element. 


Once you are happy with the results, click Save and Continue at the bottom of the screen. This will also automatically share the final results and reviewer comments with the employee. The extended feedback from all feedback providers is not automatically shared unless you do so on the next screen.


Close & Share

At this point, feedback has been collected, reviewed, finalised, and shared with the employee. If employee sign-off is required, you will have to wait for them to complete this step. Once they have done so, you will be able to sign off and close this review.
