Understanding Review Questions
Review Questions are used in review forms and rounds to rate specific performance elements. You can view your library of questions by navigating to Reviews >> Questions on the sidebar.
Click the Create button to create a new question.
Creating a Review Question
You'll be presented with a simple form.
The question text is the body of the question. You can write a variant for the case when this is presented in a self-review context. It's sometimes helpful to have a different variant for this.
The description is also optional and great for adding context if needed.
There are two types of questions:
- Text: For gathering open-ended feedback only.
- Rating: This is for building out custom ratings. Feedback providers will rate the question or linked performance element using the scale.
Finally, you can build a custom rating scale for this question. We strongly advise developing a rating scale that you use consistently across all questions, as this reduces the complexity of your performance management system. You can read more in our article on Understanding Performance Rating Scales and Customising Your Own.
